I understand there may be some Treasure Tooling EC12 hulls in the club. I have one that I was lucky enough to obtain from an estate sale. There have been several members who have expressed an interest in reviving the class in Ottawa. If there are any members interested in perhaps selling or reviving their EC12 hulls could you please let me know. I would be very interested in talking with you. Thanks Rick my email is [email protected]

Hi Rick I had asked quite a while ago where the source for the ec12 hulls was. I understand they were in Quebec somewhere but I had no response to them either. A question ... is an ec12 keel weed resistant like the m12? Tom

Moderator Posts: 90 | The EC12 hulls are supplied by restricted hull builders in the us. Google ec12 suppliers and they should come up . I think you are thinking of the s50 hull that was made and supplied by Nigel Swettenham from the Montreal club. Don't think he"s building them anymore. A new ec12 will end up close to $4000 by the time you're done. Try and find an older one like mine and convert it or sail it as is.

Thanks for the information Rick. If I'm honest, I probably have enough boats around here at the moment, and there doesn't seem to be any new interest at all in R/c sailing. Tom
