Scot. I will start a new thread, as the Micro Magic may be something that will grow in our club. However, it will also be prone to catch the weeds, as the keel is quite deep. The S50, and M12 are better bets to overcome weeds. I plan to buy the kit for the MM down in Florida, and build it there, but I am looking to buy the servos etc before I travel. Paul W. is also looking at buying and building a kit, so you may be able to follow his progress. Bernie has a MM and brought it to the pond last Tuesday, but did not sail it. Bill.

I wonder if you or Paul would feel like building 2 at the same time? I'd of course pay and you would have the advantage of keeping the one you like better! I think it was Bernie's MM I saw earlier in the season - neat little boat. He had it at the first meeting. I looked into getting one then, but decided one boat was enough for the first summer.

I will build mine down in Florida. If you have not already got it built, I would be happy to build one for you in the spring, after I get back home. By all means check with Paul. He is a very accomplished builder. Bill.

I woild also be interested in an MM if i see that it would become one of our racing. What I think is that oit would be a could boat in the spring and in the fall when the weeds have sunk and it is cold. The thought of a small light fully rigged boat in the car is appealing. We could easily leave some cheap marks in the pond that could be left in the ice and we could race until freeze up.Are the kits available at any of the hobby shops near by or do they have brought in from the USA?Does anyone know the price in particular the carbon one?

I couldn't find one available in Canada. I bought one new in box from a private seller in the states. I think the carbon one is actually 'carbon look' as opposed to real carbon fiber - this assumption is based on the minor price difference; were it really carbon it seems to me it should be LOTS more money. The carbon look one is the one I managed to buy. I'll keep scouring the internet - if I find another one for sale I'll let you know. Be ready to move quick on it. There may be a way to get some new kits to Ottawa direct from Graupner without the hassle of brokerage fees - I'll do some work on it and let you know what I come up with.

The only dealer I have been able to find is in Sarasota, Florida. Here is the link. http://www.v-eastonline.com/products/Micro-Magic-Racing--.html They also have the carbon one on the site. You could order from home, or when you are in the US. If you want, I could pick one up and ship to you when I am down there. Scot is correct. The carbon Fiber is a look alike carbon. Very smart, but a little heavier. - probably not significant. My MM is waiting for me when I get to Port Charlotte. But I have to build it. Scot. Have you decided which servos, and battery set up you will use? Bill.

It appears the deal I thought was completed on a MM may be falling apart. I may try and order one direct from Graupner; does anyone else want one? If we order several it would likely save us some shippping... I'd like to order by Friday.

I will not be getting one. I am not interested in going to smaller boats. Rick

I've spoken with someone at Graupner. They will ship USPS for us. We can take advantage of a discount if we buy 3 or more kits. There will be duty to be paid, of course - but USPS means we won't pay brokerage fees. Here's a link to the kits: Carbon racing edition: http://www.v-eastonline.com/products/Micro-Magic-Racing-Carbon-edition..html racing edition: http://www.v-eastonline.com/products/Micro-Magic-Racing--.html
