Ottawa Area Model Yacht Club

Here's a post from Nigel (of the West Island Ship Modellers in Montreal).  They're going to need a commitment from as many boaters (scale, static and sail) as they can get.  Please respond to this thread if you can commit to make it there for any or all of the dates listed.  Parking and entry are free (for participants) - commit soon to ensure you are included!

Expected turn out??? Possibly 100k or more over 4 days??? - we typically get 30k plus at the Classic Boat show over three days:mad: No place for stage fright!

Looking to possibly organize the Mini 12 Nationals there on the Saturday

parking - looks like we will have access to the parking lot at the Clock Tower marina and a golf cart shuttle service to move boats to the sailing site

Tall Ships and static display will be on the west side at the Jacque Carterier Pier. Live entertainment and LOTS of other activities planned - great event for a family outing

right in the heart of Old Montreal... lots of work to do but could be one fantastic venue to get our hobby some attention!

Will need the support of the Ottawa and the other Mini fleets to make it a success - more details to follow.

will be sailing and operating scale models all 4 days so again - outside participation is VERY welcome any time over the 4 days
